ECASIA’15 Student Travel Grant

Aims

The scheme is designed to give partial financial support to excellent postgraduate research students (Ph.D.) to help them to attend ECASIA conferences at which they are presenting an oral contribution.

The leading motive is supporting students reporting excellent work and do not have sufficient funding to attend the conference. Among equally excellent students those reside and study in one of the developing countries* are preferred.

The Conference Local Organizing Committee will waive registration fees for the selected students in addition to the travel grant (500 €) paid by the ECASIA International Steering Committee.

Conditions

· Age limit is 30 years (Birth date after October 1st, 1985. Please submit an ID pdf-copy with date of birth with your application form

· First degree must be within seven years of the start date of the ECASIA’15 conference (After Birth date after October 1st, 2008). Please submit a pdf-copy of the degree certificate.

· Applications MUST include a letter on official headed notepaper completed by the Ph.D supervisor giving the following signed statement [note that only ONE student can be supported from each Research Institution]:

I confirm that [applicant name] is enrolled in a Ph.D. program at [Research laboratory, Institution, Country] and plans to attend the ECASIA’15 conference with the paper [title of paper submitted to the ECASIA’15 conference]
