Manuscript Preparation and Submission Guidelines

High quality papers presented to the SOFT 2014 will be published in a special edition of the International Journal “Fusion Engineering and Design” edited by Elsevier after a peer review. The entire submission and review process of this journal is handled electronically using the Elsevier Editorial System (EES). For this reason all the authors of the papers accepted for the SOFT 2014 conference have to do an extra registration to this electronic editorial system that differs from the SOFT 2014 database used for the abstract submission. Of course only the papers corresponding to the accepted abstracts will be taken into consideration for the publication process. Manuscripts of accepted contributions must be submitted by October 5th 2014 to allow for peer review processing.

All papers should be submitted electronically through the following link. Authors submit their papers online by simply registering, logging on and submitting. For this special edition of “Fusion Engineering and Design”, the special issue (“SOFT 2014”) and the name of the Guest Editor (Dr. Rafael Vila) should be indicated.

As indicated below, to speed up the edition process you are also kindly requested to use the “comments” box to introduce your SOFT conference abstract final number.

All correspondence, including notification of the editor's decision and requests for revisions, is done by e-Mail and via the Author's homepage, removing the need for hard copy.

Instruction and assistance for the online submission is available at the conference web site www.soft2014.eu. The submitted manuscripts have to be written in English, and should bear the name(s) and full affiliation(s) of the author(s) as well as the mailing address, phone and fax numbers, and e-Mail address of the corresponding author. The length of the poster contributed papers is up to 4 journal pages. The length of contributed orals and invited papers is up to 6 journal pages.

You may use the paper template to ensure you meet the page limits.

Please note that the journal is printed in black and white, no colours.
