Abstract Submission

Abstracts of Contributed Papers

Authors are invited to submit one-page abstracts on any of the given topics. The International Organizing Committee will select the papers for oral and poster presentation on the basis of the abstracts.

Authors submitting an abstract are kindly requested to provide the names of three potential reviewers for the final paper that might be eventually submitted for publication in the Proceedings of the Conference. Please, refrain from providing names from colleagues within your own Institution. If possible, choose them among senior potential participants in SOFT 2014.

 

Abstract Submission Guidelines

- Each presenting author can only present one astract.

- All abstracts must be submitted online.

- You will have to create a personal account. Once you access, you will be requested to upload the abstract in pdf. Abstracts sent by e-mail will not be accepted.

- Please check out the SAMPLE for format specifications.

- Abstracts must be written in English and can not exceed 300 words, clearly stating the purpose of the research, the principal results and major conclusions.

- All authors must be shown with their full name and surname and the institution / organization they work for.

- Submission of an abstract acknowledges your acceptance for the abstract to be published in the official meeting publication.

- All abstracts accepted and published must have a registered presenting author. Only one abstract (and paper) will be accepted per registered participant.

- Abstracts stating “data will be discussed in the presentation” will NOT be accepted.

- Work that has been published or presented elsewhere may be submitted, but information must be provided about where the work was presented or published. Work that has been published or presented elsewhere will not be eligible for any awards.

- Decisions by the Scientific Program Committee for abstract acceptance in the program are final.

- Authors will be notified by email no later than June 1st 2014, whether their abstract has been accepted or rejected.

A number of experts will be invited to give presentations at the Symposium


Proceedings

Invited and contributed papers will, subject to peer review and evaluation, be published by a refereed international journal
