Dr. Takanori Kigawa is the Team Leader of Laboratory for Biomolecular Structure and Dynamics and the Headof Office for Cellular Structural Biology Research Collaboration for RIKEN Quantitative Biology Center (QBiC). He has been developing NMR related technologies, such as stable-isotope labeling using the cell-free protein synthesis, data analyses, etc., to establish an integrated platform for the NMR analysis of proteins for structure biology. His current research includes elucidation of cellular events at atomic resolution by analyzing structural dynamics of biomolecules in the cellular environment by NMR, as well as developing the technologies for simple preparations, stable-isotope labeling, NMR measurements, and data analyses.
