Luc Taillandier

Luc Taillandier had studied medicine and neurology at the University Hospital of Nancy (North East of France). He soon directed to neuro-oncology. Advanced training took place primarily in France. Nevertheless, he completed several internships with European teams (J. Rees / London - M. Klein, MJ Taphoorn and JJ Heimans / Amsterdam – R. Soffietti and R. Ruda / Turin). Neuro-oncology is its exclusive exercise mode. He is currently leading a dedicated regional unit in the University Centre of Nancy. He was appointed Professor of Neurology in 2011.
His interests turned to diffuse low grade gliomas (close collaborations with the team of Professor Hugues Duffau / Montpellier - France), optimization of supportive care, clinico-radiological interfaces, medulloblastomas and animal models (Université de Lorraine, CRAN UMR 7039). He participated in the writing of more than hundred referenced articles. He currently heads « l'Association des NeuroOncologues d'Expression Française / ANOCEF » (French society of neurooncology).
