Medical degree from Odense University in 1985
Since 2002 serves as Consultant of Neurosurgery and Director of the Skull Base program at the Department of Neurosurgery at the Neuroscience Center, Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen, Denmark.
Clinical and research interests concerns the treatment of skull base tumors, cerebrovascular disorders (aneurysm and arteriovenous malformation), pituitary tumors and cavernous malformations in the brainstem.
Special interest in acoustic neuromas and craniopharyngiomas which both are centralised at Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen.
Co-director of the Copenhagen Skull Base Course and faculty member of Skull Base courses in Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Switzerland and USA.
