Dr. Herford graduated from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 1994. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical School in 1997 and completed his residency training in Oral & Maxillofacial (OMS) at the Parkland Hospital in Dallas Texas in 2000. Dr. Herford subsequently joined the staff at Loma Linda University where he has served as Program Director and Chair of the Department in OMS for the past 12 years.
