Dr. Ramirez is a maxillofacial head & neck surgeon with specialized training in microvascular reconstructive surgery. Dr. Ramirez earned his medical degree from Wayne State University and dental surgery degree from University of Detroit Mercy. He completed residency training in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery at St. John Providence Health System in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Ramirez then went on to specialized fellowship training in Microvascular Reconstruction, Head and Neck Surgery at University of Florida College of Medicine, training directly under Rui P Fernandes MD, DMD, FACS. He is a member of the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Medical Association and American Dental Association. Dr. Ramirez has authored multiple peer reviewed publications, book chapters and lectures nationally and internationally on reconstructive surgery.
