Dear Colleagues and Friends,

On behalf of the European Union, the Early Nutrition Academy (ENA), the Developmental Origins of Adult Diseases (DOHaD) society, the Local Organising Committee and the Management team of the NUTRIMENTHE EU Project, we invite you to come to Granada (Spain) on 13-14 September 2013.

It is a privilege for us to host in our city of Granada, the NUTRIMENTHE International Conference about: "Effects of diet on the Mental Performance of children". The venue will be at the Granada Conference and Exhibition Centre, one of the most modern and best equipped in Europe, and in this case the event will take place closer to the IUNS International Congress of Nutrition 2013.

The Scientific Programme was planned to disseminate the most recent results of the NUTRIMENTHE project, providing delegates with a wealth of new information and key messages about how the diet of pregnant women and children can influence mental performance and behaviour in childhood.

Concerning the scientific activities we have considered a 1.5 days Congress Conference from the 13th to 14th of September, 2013, which will include five Symposiums, five Keynote Lectures and a Young Scientists’ Forum Lecture Competition where young scientists will have the opportunity to showcase their work to their peers and an internationally renowned audience of researchers. Prizes will be awarded at the Conference Dinner on the 14th September.

Granada is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and offers a wide range of cultural, historical, and gastronomic experiences, and we will be very happy to host you within the friendliest atmosphere. So, the NUTRIMENTHE International Conference can also be an excellent occasion for you to visit Granada.

General Information

The NUTRIMENTHE project was set up in 2008 to improve our knowledge of how pre-natal and childhood nutrition affects later mental performance. This final international conference will showcase the results of the project, providing delegates with a wealth of new information and key messages about how the diet of pregnant women and children, can influence mental performance in childhood.
